Breanna Smith // Carter Road Portrait Session + Being Back In America
It's been a little while since we last wrote on here. Where do we even begin?
Life has been good. Really good. But it's also been kind of hard. Adjusting back to living in America was a lot harder than we expected and we find ourselves missing Budapest a lot. But not just missing the lifestyle or the beautiful streets or the food or diversity or the typical things you'd figure we'd miss moving back to America from Europe, but we find ourselves missing, more than anything else, the people. We miss our friends and the members of Agóra Gellért. We miss the Shaw's. We miss having home groups on Wednesday nights and diving into difficult topics and being challenged to think drastically differently. We miss learning about the culture and fellowshipping with Hungarians and listening to the stories they had to tell.
Even though it was a lot harder to come back to America than leave it, we've been getting back into the swing of things. We're currently living with family and waiting to hear back from the IMB on whether or not they've accepted us. We're trying to fill our time with photographing and filming everything that we possibly can, which might come as a surprise to some of you since we've been so quiet lately! But I think we are finally ready to start creating + sharing new content with you all, because we believe big things are going to happen during this season of our lives. It's scary exciting and we can't wait to see how God uses it.
For now, here are some photos of we took of my (Sam) sister, Breanna, a couple of weeks ago. Isn't she so photogenic?
